Oooooh Autumn. I don’t know about you, but Autumn is my favourite season.

Cosy nights, slowing down, crunchy leaves and ALL the pumpkin scented candles (all the pumpkin everything).

It may have felt as though we blinked and missed Summer this year, and it was a strange one to say the least, but the change of the seasons is already here!

You might feel like you want to start making some gentle changes to your daily Yoga practice at this time too, because a Yoga practice isn’t JUST about getting all ‘Zen’ and bendy on your mat you know.

It’s about understanding what you need, right now, in the present moment.

Sometimes it’s a sweaty workout and sometimes it’s a little nap or a big slice of cake.

(I know which of the above I have NOT been preferring recently).

Don’t we just work a bit TOO hard sometimes? Always busy being busy. Turning into human doings instead of human beings.

If you’ve practiced Yoga before, online or in a class, you probably noticed how good it felt to actually slow the hell down.

That chilled, post-Yoga feeling is the best, right?

If you find it hard to slow down, stop and take some notice of what YOU need, a gentle Yoga practice might just help you to start to listen to your body.

You’ll take that physical practice off of your mat and into the ‘real world’ with you.

So, over the next few months, when the weather gets a bit chillier, the nights are darker, and your body is telling you to relax….


We’ve had a lot to deal with this year, and scheduling in some self-care should be a top priority.

Go to a slow, stretchy Yoga class if you need some time to unwind, or join a more dynamic flow class to lift your energy if Autumn has you feeling a bit ‘bleurgh’.
